Donald R. Narmore, 77, of Indianapolis, passed away Saturday, June 26, 2021 at Greenwood Healthcare Center. Donald was born Tuesday, January 4, 1944 in Cherokee, Alabama, the son of the late John Henry and Ruby Elizabeth (Horton) Narmore.
After serving with the U. S. Army, Don worked as a glasscutter for 40 years with Circle City Glass Company, then two years with Budget Glass, retiring in 2009. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He followed sports, enjoyed watching the Indianapolis 500 and NASCAR and the University of Alabama football team. He would get in some tv time watching his Westerns, was a dog lover especially to his current two beagle fur babies, Mickey and Moose. And as with any grandparent, spoiled his grandchildren.
Donald is survived by his wife, Judy F. (McClellan) Narmore of Indianapolis; his daughter and her husband, Dana and Jacob Wambsganss of Franklin; grandchildren, Dylan M. and Macy C. Wambsganss; brother, Gary Narmore of Florida; sister and brother-in-law, Virginia and Jackie Thompson of Crossville, Tennessee. In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by grandson, Ty J. Wambsganss; brothers, John W. and Thomas H. Narmore; sister, Jean Wallace.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 29, 2021 in Lauck & Veldhof Funeral & Cremation Services, 1458 South Meridian Street, Indianapolis. Burial with military honors will follow at Round Hill Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday, June 28, 2021 in the funeral home.
