Douglas Dwayne Pope, 57, of Mooresville, passed away Saturday, July 24, 2021, at Miller’s Merry Manor Nursing Home, Mooresville. Doug was born Sunday, January 19, 1964, in Lexington, Kentucky to the late Rufus Ray and Pauline (Pennington) Pope.
Doug has worked for Niagara Bottling, LLC. in Plainfield, Indiana for the past 11 years, most recently as a dock coordinator. He followed the Indianapolis Colts, enjoyed spending quality time with his three grandsons, and watching either the History Channel or Discovery Channel on the tv.
Douglas is survived by his wife, Angela D. (Gardner) Pope; children, Jonie W. (Zachary) Bradshaw of Mooresville, Rusty W. Pope of Greenwood and Dustin L. Gardner of Indianapolis; grandsons, Bentley L. Bradshaw, Benson W. Pope and Bryson M. Pope; brothers, Ray Terrell of West Virginia, Tim Terrell and Eugene Terrell, both of Macon, Georgia; sisters, Vickie Jackson and Beverly Cratty, both of Indianapolis.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 28, 2021, in Lauck & Veldhof Funeral & Cremation Services, 1458 South Meridian Street, Indianapolis, where family and friends may visit from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Concordia Cemetery, Indianapolis.
