Effie “Dee” (Bowman) Bell, 82, of Greenwood, was called home to the Lord on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at St. Francis Hospital in Indianapolis. Effie was born on April 9, 1938 in Macon County, TN to John and Maudie (Pedigo) Bowman. She was a member of the Garfield Park Church of Christ in Indianapolis. She worked for many years at the Union Station in downtown Indianapolis. She previously lived in Orriville, Ohio and was employed by Smuckers. Effie was a member of the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed auto racing, Elvis (biggest fan), Country music and the Indianapolis Colts.

Survivors include her brother, Clyde Bowman of Brownsburg; nephew, Greg Bowman of Greenfield; nephew, Randy Bowman of Brownsburg; niece, Penny Lewis of Brownsburg; nephew Jerry Gottfried of Indianapolis; several great nieces & nephews and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband Billy Bell; parents, John and Maudie (Pedigo) Bowman; brothers, Homer Bowman, John “Buck” Bowman, Dessie Bowman and Williard Bowman; sisters, Beulah Gottfried and Lassie Driver.

Effie will be laid to rest at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Greenwood, Indiana
