Elizabeth “Beth” Anne (Herold) Moorman, 82, of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully in her home on Wednesday, August 13, 2025.
She was born on December 23, 1942, in Lebanon, Indiana, to the late Edward and Helen (Carnahan) Herold. Beth was a proud graduate of Connersville High School, Class of 1960, and continued her education at the St. Vincent School of Nursing and Marian College. She dedicated over four decades of service to Otolaryngology Associates, where she cherished the relationships she built with the physicians and staff.
Beth had a deep love for animals, especially her cherished poodles, Lucille and Guinevere. She served as past president of the Briarstone Homeowners Association, volunteered as a Eucharistic Minister at Community South, was a caterer for Moe's Southwest Grill and found great joy in her Bridge Club. A woman of faith, she was a former member of Little Flower Catholic Church, where she raised her family, and took great pride in her four children, all of whom graduated from Scecina High School.
Beth is survived by her loving children: Chris (Eliana) Kirch, Karin Kirch, Kathleen (Jeff) Isom, and Kelli (Lonnie Cornwell) Kirch; her longtime friend (from Marian College) and devoted companion, William “Bill” Sherman; her sister, Christina (Allen) Hill; grandchildren: Kyle, Diann, Cristy, Aidan, and Helen; and her beloved poodles, Lucille and Guinevere. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Richard L. Kirch and John E. Moorman; her parents; and her brother, Thomas Herold.
Family and friends will gather on Wednesday, August 20, from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at St. Mark Catholic Church, 535 E. Edgewood Ave., Indianapolis. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12 noon, with Rev. Eric Johnson presiding. A meal will follow in the parish hall. Entombment will take place at Calvary Cemetery at 3 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Mark Catholic Church, Indy Humane or Marian University. Envelopes will be available at the church.
