Feliberto Vergara Espinoza, 71, of Indianapolis, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 30, 2024. He was born on March 31, 1952, in Havana, Cuba.
Feliberto retired from the Marriott Corporation in 2016 as a maintenance engineer. He was a natural fit for his job as he could fix anything. He loved plants, animals and feeding the birds. Feliberto was a very caring, kind, loving and understanding person who always saw the good in people. He was a devoted husband and father and absolutely loved his grandchildren. He will be missed by his loving family and many friends.
Survivors include his wife of 22 years, Monica J. (Osborne) Vergara; children, Alex Vergara, David Perez, Duane (Mari) Perez, Juan (Barbara) Gomez and Jaime Gomez; four brothers and six sisters, all in Cuba; grandchildren, David Daniel Perez, Monica Perez, Ellen Perez, Serena Perez, David Gamez, Joel Pena, Corona Ochoa, Danny Perez, Christopher Perez, Andrea Gomez, Thomas Gomez, Andrew Gomez, Adrian Gomez, Angel Gomez and Chloe Gomez; many grand, great and great-great-grandchildren, including Joselyn Cisneros; and cat, Molly.
Family and friends will gather on Friday, February 9, 2024, from 4 to 7 p.m. in Lauck & Veldhof Funeral & Cremation Services, 1458 S. Meridian St., Indianapolis. Cremation will follow services in keeping with Feliberto’s wishes.
