Fernando Ortiz

Fernando Ortiz, 62, of Indianapolis, passed away on Saturday, January 30, 2021 in IU Bloomington Hospital.  He was born on August 9, 1958 in Rio Bravo, Tamps, Mexico to the late Roberto and Maria Felix (Ramirez) Ortiz.  He married the love of his life 44 years ago, Blanca Esthela (Gutierrez) Ortiz; she survives. 

Fernando had a strong faith and was devoted to his wife, children and grandchildren; he loved them all dearly.  He was very honest and hardworking, always happy and very encouraging to family and friends.  Fernando loved music, dancing, was very flirtatious and lived life to the fullest.  He enjoyed being outside in nature whether it was on the water or in a forest filled with trees.  Fernando was thankful for his job, which he loved, and his many friends and co-workers; he will be dearly loved and missed by many not only in Indianapolis but around the country and Mexico.

Survivors include his wife, Blanca Esthela Ortiz; children, Oswin Fernando (Patricia Yvette) Ortiz and Arelyy Selene Ortiz; grandchildren, Lesley Yvette Ortiz, Oswin Fernando Ortiz (deceased), and Dominick Raphael Ortiz; brothers, Roberto, Rene, David Enrique. and Alonzo Ortiz; sisters, Maria Ludivina Ortiz, Maria Concepcion Ortiz (deceased), and Sonia Isela Rodriguez.
