Frances "Fran" M. (Sallinger) Rajk

Frances M. (Sallinger) Rajk, 87, of Indianapolis, passed away on Saturday, February 25, 2023.  She was born on January 8, 1936 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, to the late Joseph and Lillie (Funk) Sallinger. 

Fran was a long-time member of St. Jude Catholic Church and worked for many years as a “lunch lady” at Roncalli High School.  She had a great sense of humor, enjoyed vacations at the beach and in spending time with her beloved husband of 62 years, William “Bill” Rajk, who preceded her in death.  After Bill’s retirement, they became regulars at Flapjack’s where Fran held court while Bill visited and poured coffee.  They will both be missed.        

Fran is survived by her children, Chivonne (Brian) Kelly and Michael (Linda) Rajk; and grandchildren, Alexia, William, Sarah, Lauren and Alexander. 

In keeping with Fran’s wishes, private services were held by Fr. Peter Marshall, and she was entombed with Bill at Calvary Cemetery.
