Frank Byron Morris, 88, of Greenwood, passed away on Sunday, April 28, 2024. He was born on March 29, 1936, in Indianapolis, to the late Byron H. and Alice (Thau) Morris. He married the love of his life, Dorothy Ann “Dottie” (Smith) Morris on July 28, 1984.
Frank was a graduate of Emmerich Manual High School and served in the National Guard. He worked in sales and distribution for many years in the music industry for RCA Records and Major Video Concepts. He also worked part-time as a driver for Eye Specialist of Indiana.
Frank was an active member of Mount Auburn Church in Greenwood and loved the camaraderie with his Life Group and friends there. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, and caring and fun papaw. He enjoyed collecting model airplanes.
Survivors include his loving wife of 39 years Dorothy (Dottie) Morris; son, Mark (Alicia) Morris; stepdaughter, Lana Dishman; siblings, Byron “Bud” (Sherri) Morris, Dave (Sharon) Morris, and Sue Whitlow; grandchildren, Christopher Phillips; great-grandson, Tieson Phillips; step-grandchildren, Shelbi (Peter) Diezel and Taylor (Brogan) Bragg; step-great grandson, Isaiah Bragg. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Michael Morris; daughter, Michele Phillips; and brother, Ron Morris. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will gather on Monday, May 13, 2024, from 10 to 11 a.m. in Mount Auburn Church, 3100 W. Stones Crossing Rd., Greenwood. A memorial service celebrating his life will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the church. Inurnment: Calvary Cemetery
Memorial Contributions have been suggested to Mount Auburn Church and Parkinson’s Foundation. Envelopes will be provided at the church. The family would like to thank the staff at Rosegate and Anew Hospice for the loving care they gave to Frank.
