George Lee Obituary

George "Junior" Lee, 81, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away peacefully at his home on September 12, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on September 9, 1944, in Elmwood Place, Ohio, Junior lived a life marked by dedication, humility, and a deep love for the people and passions that mattered most to him.

Junior was the beloved husband of Beulah (Snow) Lee, his devoted wife of 60 years. The couple married on August 7, 1965, and together built a beautiful life centered around family, hard work, and shared joy. He was a proud father to his two sons, George W. (Sarah) Lee of Indianapolis and James E. (Becca) Lee of Parrish, Florida; and a cherished grandfather to four grandsons, two granddaughters, and one great-granddaughter; Junior is also survived by his brother, Harley Lee of Liberty, Kentucky; and several nieces and nephews. His family was his pride and joy, and he found great happiness in every moment spent with them.

Junior was preceded in death by his parents, George Osborn and Ethel Etwell (Latham) Lee; his brothers, Gary Scurry, Danny Scurry, James Sheard, and Harold Mason Morton; and his sisters, Shirley A. Lee, Linda S. Beaty, and Rozella.

For 42 years, Junior worked as a supervisor at Davidson Industries, Inc. first in Southport, Indiana and later in Franklin, Indiana. He was known for his strong work ethic, his unwavering reliability, and his quiet leadership - earning the respect of colleagues and friends alike.

Beyond his professional life, Junior found joy in simple pleasures. He had a lifelong passion for old classic cars and was an enthusiastic fan of NASCAR. A loyal supporter of the Indianapolis Colts, Indiana Fever, and Indiana Pacers, he rarely missed a televised game. He also enjoyed trips to the casino and was always ready to share a story - especially if it involved his grandchildren.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Junior’s life at a visitation on Friday, September 19, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with a period of time at the conclusion of visitation to share your stories about Junior at Lauck & Veldhof Funeral and Cremation Services, 1458 S.
