Gerald Lee Richey, Sr.

Gerald Lee Richey,, Sr., age 68, of Indianapolis, passed away June 23, 2020.  The son of Gilbert Lawson, Sr. and Ruby Rea (Spears) Richey, Gerald was born December 27, 1951 in Indianapolis.

Gerald retired in 2019 after 20 years of service from CSX Railroad (formerly the B & O Railroad) as a railroad clerk.  He was a member of Mars Hill Baptist Bible Church and in his spare time, enjoyed taking his rod and reel and going fishing.

Gerald is survived by his sons, Gerald Richey, Jr. and Daniel J. Richey, both of Indianapolis; his daughter, Dawn-Marie Richey of Sumner, WA; sisters, Joann Price of Center Grove and Carolyn Stoffregen of Minnestra, MN; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.

There will be a Gathering of Family and Friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. June 28, 2020 at Mars Hill Baptist Bible Church - 2601 South Dennison Street, Indianapolis.  A private burial will take place at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Greenwood.

The family has requested in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to Mars Hill Baptist Bible Church - 2601 South Dennison Street  Indianapolis, IN  46241.
