Gerald F. Thrush

Gerald F. Thrush, 87, of Indianapolis, passed away on Sunday, July 19, 2020.  He was born on November 18, 1932 in Toledo, Ohio to the late Sidney Allen and Hannah Matilda (Meyers) Thrush. 

Jerry served in the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1954.  He was a member of Grace Point Church of Whiteland and retired from I.M.P.D. after serving 25 years as a Police Officer.  Jerry was a member of the F.O.P. and the Retired Officer’s Association.

Gerald was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 66 years, Martha (Rogers) Thrush; his parents; and brother, Donald Lee Thrush.  Survivors include his children, Victoria Ann Geraci, Michael F. Thrush, Sr., Glenn Allen Thrush (Karen) and Sandra Matthias; siblings, Leslie Allen Thrush and Robert Loyd Thrush; 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

In following with his wishes, he will be cremated and no public services will be held.  The cremains of both Gerald and Martha will be inurned together at Washington Park East Cemetery.
