Glenn Pierce Obituary

In Loving Memory of Glenn Gilbert Pierce

Glenn Gilbert Pierce, 77, of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 13, 2026. Born on November 4, 1948, in Indianapolis, he was the son of the late Charles Jerome and Nana F. (Seeright) Pierce.

A proud graduate of Thomas Carr Howe High School, class of 1967, Glenn went on to earn his degree in computer programming from Purdue University. His early years were marked by community involvement, including active participation in the Jaycees during the 1970s. Quiet by nature yet unwavering in conviction, Glenn was known for his sharp mind, strong debating skills, and a spirited willingness to stand firmly for what he believed. A staunch Republican, he approached every discussion with clarity, purpose, and a deep sense of engagement.

Glenn’s passions extended beyond conversation and civic life. He was an enthusiastic supporter of the Indianapolis Colts and a devoted follower of Purdue sports, cheering on his teams with loyalty and pride. His love of technology and curiosity about the world around him were lifelong companions.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce Arlene (Magee) Pierce; his children, Melissa (Bryan) Perry and Glenn G. Pierce, Jr.; his sister, Sharon Pierce; grandchildren, Tristan (Kyle) Leffel, Ashley (Matthew) Lopez, and William Blake Pierce; and great‑grandchildren, Lucas, Patrick, Corbin, and Dillon. Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Nana Pierce, and by his daughter, Beverly Smock.
