Grace Jeanette Goodman, 50, of Indianapolis, passed away unexpectedly at home with her loving husband, on Monday, June 8, 2026. She was born on October 22, 1975, in Columbus, Indiana, to Ralph and Ina (Carter) Vierling.
A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, she found her greatest joy in caring for her family. Grace had a remarkable ability to make friends wherever she went, she never met a stranger. Her accepting nature, generous spirit, and willingness to help anyone in need made her a source of comfort and kindness to all who knew her. She was loving, caring, and sweet in every sense of the word, and her gentle presence brightened the lives of many.
Grace is survived by her loving husband of 28 years, Robert “Bob” Goodman; her sons, Christian Dunaway, Zachary (Zoe Daniels) Goodman, and Owen Goodman; her father, Ralph (Judy) Vierling; her siblings, Adam (Shonna) Vierling, Kelly Benson, and April Olesek; her cherished grandchildren, Karsyn, Colton, and Liam Dunaway, and Ophelia Goodman; and her beloved dog, Benji. She was preceded in death by her mother, Ina Vierling, and her brother, Robert Rodriguez.
Family and friends will gather on Sunday, June 14, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Lauck & Veldhof Funeral & Cremation Services, 1458 S. Meridian St., Indianapolis. A service celebrating her life will begin at 4 p.m.
