Helen Marie (Collier) Niccum

Helen Marie (Collier) Niccum, 81, of Indianapolis, passed away on Wednesday, December 22, 2021. She was born on February 8, 1940 in Sullivan County, Tennessee to the late Fred Wilmer and Ruby Belle (Allen Collier.

For 27 years, Helen worked for General Motors, having worked on the assembly line and retired as an inspector. While at General Motors, she was active with United Way. She adored her grandchildren. Helen loved to be around the water, to go shopping especially at the thrift stores and playing Euchre.

Helen is survived by her children, Alan D. Niccum of Anderson, Sheri L. Gore of Greenfield and Nicole Rogers of Martinsville; life partner, Terry L. Rush of Indianapolis; brother, Robert (Linda) Lambert of Anderson and sister, Carol (Rick) Detling of Anderson; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by son, Donald L. Niccum; brothers, Kenneth and Lloyd Collier; sister, Genice Baker.

Family and friends will gather on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. in Lauck & Veldhof Funeral Home, 1458 South Meridian Street, with a memorial service to be conducted at 2:00 p.m.
