LYONS, Howard R. (Bob) - Passed away peacefully on December 19 with his family by his side. Bob was born on June 16, 1930, to the late Howard and Amanda Lyons in Easton, PA.  He graduated from Easton High School in 1948, and upon graduation joined the United States Army.  He married Marie Lyons in 1955, and they celebrated 61 years of marriage together.  Bob and Marie raised four children:  Bo, Kelly, Mitzi and Mitchell.  He served on three continents during his military career in the data processing unit.  His last military assignment placed him at Fort Benjamin Harrison in Indianapolis where he and Marie settled.  He retired from the US Army in 1968 and continued to work in the computer industry until 1999, retiring from Mechanics Laundry/Cintas.  Bob and Marie were longtime parishioners of St. Simons Catholic Church and later transitioned to Good Shepard.  Bob is survived by his wife, Marie, brother George Lyons, and four children, Bo Lyons, Kelly Schoettle (RJ), Mitzi Lyons, and Mitchell Lyons (Heather).  Eight grandchildren survive him:  Alex, Casey, and Nathan Schoettle; Bobbie Sue Lyons; and Eli, Isabelle, Eleanor, and Ian Lyons; and one great grandchild, Lucas Lyons.  Bob was a true family man.  One could always find him on the sidelines attending one of his children’s or grandchildren’s sporting events, decorating for any holiday, buying birthday cards for his family, or sitting on the front porch with his beloved dog Howie.  He leaves us with many fond memories. A mass of Christian burial will be held at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 2905 Carson Avenue, on Friday, December 23rd at 10:00 a.m.  Friends may call from 4:00-8:00 p.m., Thursday, December 22nd at Lauck & Veldhof Funeral & Cremation Services, 1458 S.
