Isaac Luis Garcia, 47, passed away unexpectedly surrounded by his family on Friday, December 6, 2024.
Issac was born January 14, 1977 in Frankfort, Indiana to Guadalupe Gonzalez and the late Alfredo Garcia. Isaac in Hebrew means ‘He who laughs,’ and from the moment he was born Isaac represented the true embodiment of his name.
The center of Isaac’s entire world was his two children, Jack Isaac (17) and Maricela Liese (11). If you spoke with Isaac, you got to hear all about Jack and Mari. Isaac instilled in them his strength, his courage, and his wisdom, and he made sure they knew how much they were loved. One of his biggest fears was his children not knowing who he was, so he wore his heart on his sleeve. Although Isaac was taken from everyone too soon, he achieved his most important mission in life—teaching his children who he was and how to create your own light in the darkest of nights.
Despite his circumstances, he remained a pillar of strength to those who knew him, and his smile never seemed to fade. Isaac loved focusing on what brought him joy: time with his kids, nieces and nephews, family, and friends, and radiating warmth and kindness. Isaac had a knack for making friends for life. Isaac was born to be a friend, a brother, and a father. We are all better having known him.
Isaac was preceded in death by his little brother Jose Alfredo Garcia, who passed away in March of 2022.
Survivors include his mother, Guadalupe Gonzalez; his siblings, Mauricio, Monica (David), and Kimberly (Tom); and his eight nieces and nephews, Kristin, Mateo, Sarah, Mya, Megan, Benicio, Bella, and Madelyn.
Family and friends may call from 4 pm to 8 pm on Friday December 13, 2024 at Lauck and Veldhof Funeral Home, 1458 S. Meridian St., Indianapolis. The Rosary will be said during the visitation at 6:30 pm, followed by remembrances. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, December 14 at 12 pm at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 520 Stevens St., Indianapolis; burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Indianapolis.
