Obituary
Jacquelyn “Jackie” Paula Nichols, 88, passed away Saturday, October 9, 2021 at her Indianapolis home. Born Tuesday, October 3, 1933 in Indianapolis, she was the daughter of the late Paul Fredrick and Helen Louise (Stringer) Kleppe.
Jackie was a graduate of Southport High School. She loved to bowl, had the patience to do embroidery, and she and Ed were snowbirds who would winter in Bonita Springs, Florida. Jackie was a retired cafeteria worker with Indianapolis Public Schools, and later worked at the United Artist movie theatres at the Circle Center Mall.
Survivors include her husband, Edward J. Nichols, whom she married on Wednesday, September 19, 1984 ; children, Dale Schott, Darryl Hopkins (Lois Nohlechek), Derinda McClellan, Darla Burgess, Mark, Stephen and George Nichols; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services 1:00 p.m. Thursday, October 14, 2021 at Concordia Cemetery, 2703 South Meridian Street, with visitation from 12:30 p.m.
The family suggests memorial contributions to Woodside United Methodist Church, 2540 Southeastern Avenue, Indianapolis IN 46201.
