James Philip Fox

James Philip Fox, 70, Indianapolis, passed away on Sunday, September 11, 2022.  He was born on May 11, 1952 in Zamboanga City, the Philippines.  He married the love of his life, Frieda (Bentley) Fox, on May 1, 1976; she survives. 

James loved his family and friends and enjoyed spending time with everyone.  He never met a stranger and welcomed all to his house and table.  James was an excellent cook and if you ever left his house hungry, that was your own fault.  He enjoyed fishing, playing cards and entertaining.  If there was a camera, he was ready with a smile.  He will truly be missed.

Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Frieda Fox; sons, Gilbert Rosario (Wachelle) Fox, James Nelson (Alexandria) Fox and George Phillip (Brandy) Fox; siblings, George, Albert, Catherine San Augustin, Richard, Jenny Jalilul and Joseph; grandchildren, Devon, Jalen, Mariah, Jacey, Myasia, Haiden, Ivan and Alexander. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, September 17, at 11 a.m. in St. Barnabas Catholic Church, 8300 Rahke Rd., Indianapolis, with Fr. Guy Roberts presiding.  Visitation will take place prior to Mass from 10 to 11 a.m. in the church.  Inurnment will follow services in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood. 

A celebration of life will be held following the burial.  Please contact immediate family for details on location.
