James Conley Leonard, 83, of Indianapolis, passed away on Wednesday, April 27, 2020. He was born in Blountville Tennessee on July 28, 1936 to the late J.C. and Mary Leonard. James was a hard worker and enjoyed working for Link Belt in Indianapolis.
He served in the United States Marine Corporation. He loved to travel and made many trips to all regions of the country. He had a passion for and was a walking encyclopedia when it came to information about county music.
He loved Las Vegas, and the Grand Ole Opry.
He was preceded in death by his wife Trudy (Goodhue) Leonard. He will be missed by his sons Don Vibbert (Betty) and Bobby (Sandra) Vibbert. Other survivors include his siblings, Harvey Leonard, Dimple Morrell, and Bobbie Campos.
Burial in New Crown Cemetery was private.
