Janell Musgrove Obituary

Janell Christine Musgrove, 55, passed away at her home on September 10, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones.

Janell was born June 17, 1969, in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Janell graduated from Arsenal Technical High School where she enjoyed playing softball as a pitcher and first baseman. This is where she met the love of her life, Kris. Kris and Janell began dating before they could even drive. No matter how far Janell was, Kris would ride his bike to be with her. From that time and for nearly 40 years, they were inseparable. Their love grew from there being blessed with two amazing boys. She was an incredibly loving and supportive mother. She would do anything for her family.

After high school Janell began her career at Anthem where she thrived for over 35 years. Janell loved her work and her work family. She took pride in helping people every day.

When not helping people at work, Janell loved to spend her time with family. She loved being outside with her husband. She took pride in her gardening and flowers. They would sit and listen to music, especially Garth Brooks, while bird watching. She loved painting ceramics and putting them out on the back patio. Holidays were her favorite time of year, and she made it a big event to decorate for them. She has a whole room dedicated to holiday decorations Fall, Christmas, Easter, you name it… she would decorate for it. She loved the Colts; she would watch every game with her husband while texting with her mom about each play.

Janell always wanted to be a grandma; she was overjoyed when Naomi joined the family. They loved to do nails and paint together. A few years later Aiden came along, her heart and pride grew even more.

She is survived by her husband Kris Musgrove, sons Paul and Kyle (Sarah) Musgrove, grandchildren, Naomi and Aiden,  mother, Barbara Pennington, sister Shannon Raney, stepbrother Lee Pennington Jr., all of Indianapolis.

She was proceeded in death by her father John (Jack) Raney, Step-Father Lee Pennington Sr. And stepsister Christine Sullivan
