Jaylyn Lee McDaniel

Jaylyn Lee McDaniel, 27, of Indianapolis, passed away on Wednesday, September 14, 2022.  He was born on June 11, 1995, in Indianapolis to Jeffrey H. Taylor and Shannon D. (McDaniel) Cooper.  Jaylyn graduated from Ben Davis University High School with an associate degree in 2014.

Jaylyn was a driver with Fed Ex and loved his job and coworkers.  He loved to work out, have a fun time (party) and eat; he had a life-long obsession with food!  He loved hanging out with family, especially his sibling.  He was a kind and thoughtful young man and would be pleased to know that through his death he was able to save countless others through the gift of organ donation. 

Survivors include his loving mother, Shannon Cooper and her husband, John; father, Jeff Taylor and his wife, Gina; father figure, Larry Emberton, II; siblings, Justin Emberton (Amber Estes), Tiffany Taylor, Jonathon McDaniel, Tyler Cloud, Taylor Bird and Tori Eller; grandparents, Pam Emberton and Bob Burnett; nephew, Carter Malcomb Emberton; and nieces, Alaina Bingham and Paislee Sutt. 

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 21 from 4 to 8 p.m. in Lauck & Veldhof Funeral & Cremation Services, 1458 S. Meridian St., Indianapolis.  A service celebrating Jaylyn’s life will be held on Thursday, September 22 at 12 noon in the funeral home.  Burial will follow services in Concordia Cemetery, Indianapolis Indiana.
