Jennifer “Jenny” Marie McDaniel, 63, of Indianapolis, passed away on Monday, February 15, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on August 27, 1957 in Indianapolis, to the late William and Helen (Green) Morgan.
Jenny graduated from Sacred Heart High School and later retired from the U.S. Postal Service after 30 years as a mail handler. She enjoyed playing bingo, loved the Colts and was a huge Peyton Manning fan. Above all, she cherished her family, most especially her kids and grandkids. Her children looked up to her and will say that she is the strongest woman they’ve ever met as she raised them alone; their father passed at the early age of 40.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James McDaniel; brother, Michael Morgan; and her parents. Survivors include her children, Shannon (John) Cooper, Melissa McDaniel, James McDaniel and Jeremy McDaniel; siblings, Mary Ann (Roger) Harding, Debbie Spears, Steve (Darlene) Morgan and Bill Morgan; grandchildren, Justin (Amber) Emberton, Alisha Baxter, Jaylyn McDaniel, Brittany Wilkes, James McDaniel, Angel McDaniel and Jonathan McDaniel; and great-grandchild, Carter Malcom Emberton.
Family and friends will gather on Monday, February 22, 2021 from 4 to 8 p.m. in Lauck & Veldhof Funeral & Cremation Services for a celebration of Jenny’s life. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 23 at 11 a.m. in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 1530 S. Union Street, Indianapolis, IN with Rev. Duc Pham officiating.
