Gantner, Jerome "Jerry" A., peacefully went to be with the Lord on Friday, May 13, 2022 at the age of 79.
Loving father of Kevin (Claribel) Gantner, Danielle "Dani" (Damon) Burney and Nick A. Gantner; dear grandfather of Ty Gantner, Sofia Burney, Gavin Burney and Natalie "Niko" Burney; brother of Stephen (Judy) Gantner and Francis (Cheryl) Gantner; beloved friend of Trudy Steiger; uncle, cousin and friend to many.
Jerry loved making people laugh, including himself. No one was spared. Jerry loved his family. His children and grandchildren were very dear to him. Jerry also had many friends. He was the Founding Member of the McDerelicts. They met every morning at McDonald's to solve the world's problems, read a book, work crossword puzzles, set up their computers and tell jokes - he had a lot of one-liners. It was always the best way to start the day. He will be missed. Jerry loved sports....an avid Indianapolis 500 race fan, golfing, watching the Cardinals and Blues games, and, of course, Notre Dame football! Driving the USA in a motor coach was also high on his list, not to mention international travel. Jerry was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #12986 at Christ Prince of Peace Catholic Church, Manchester. For years he was a monthly donor at the American Red Cross. If you can, give a pint in his name. Rest in peace, Jerry.
