Jetta Lee Fletcher, 90, passed away Monday, November 15, 2021 at her Indianapolis residence. Born Saturday, March 28, 1931 in McAndrews, Kentucky, Jetta was the daughter of the late William A. and Mollie (Ball) Varney.
A homemaker, Jetta was a member of Word of Faith Church. She loved growing flowers, baking and going to church. She loved her family and God and was a family woman. She took time daily to pray for her family and friends. Jetta enjoyed listening to gospel music. She loved flowers, birds and butterflies and enjoyed spring and fall, especially spring.
Jetta is survived by sons, Lloyd Denver Fletcher and Gary Wayne Fletcher, both of Indianapolis; daughters, Mary Lynn Blundell and LeaAnna Russell, both of Indianapolis; six grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Bud Fletcher in 2015; brothers, Billy, John, Hilliard and Junior and sisters, Chig, Mary, Kathleen, Dovey, Maggie and Maxie.
Funeral services will be conducted by Brother Earl Pumphrey at 1:00 p.m. Monday, November 22, 2021 in Pentecostal Power of Praise, 650 East Perry Street, where family and friends may visit from 11:00 a.m. to the time of services at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be at New Crown Cemetery, Indianapolis.
