John Patrick Hanley

John Patrick Hanley (aka Radon John), 63, of Indianapolis, passed away Saturday, September 16, 2023.  He was born on August 6, 1960, in Beech Grove, Indiana, to Thomas J. and Kathleen M. (Carr) Hanley. 

John was a graduate of Roncalli High School, class of 1978.  He did radon testing and was the owner of Radon John.  John loved driving between jobs listening to music or NPR while enjoying the scenery.  He was personable and hard to forget.  He loved music, sports and enjoyed life to the fullest.  He was everyone's favorite and will be missed immensely.  

Survivors include his son, Kai D. (Rei) Hanley; father, Thomas J. Hanley; siblings, Tom (Mary Beth) Hanley, Mary Hanley, Mark (Laura) Hanley, Eileen Hanley and Patty Hanley; and eight nieces and nephews plus three great nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Kathleen M. Hanley. 

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 28 from 1 to 5 p.m. at the Beech Grove Community Center, 5245 Hornet Ave., Beech Grove, IN 46107.  At 3 p.m. we will gather as one large group to share memories of John.
