Joseph Alan Yates

Joseph Alan Yates, 60, of Indianapolis, passed away on Sunday, January 16, 2022. Joseph was born on Wednesday, August 30, 1961 in St. Francis Hospital, Beech Grove to the late James W. and Mable I. (Knight) Yates.

Joe had worked several years with Shane’s Garage Door. He enjoyed fishing for bass and catfish and going deer hunting.

Joe is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Irene and Daniel Emery of Indianapolis and brother and sister-in-law, James C. and Tabitha Yates of Indianapolis; niece and nephews, Cindy Rose, James C. Yates, Donald Joseph Yates and D.J. Emery; and great-nephew, Clayton Rose. In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Ray Yates.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. January 21, 2022 in Lauck & Veldhof Funeral & Cremation Services, 1458 South Meridian Street, where family and friends may visit from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Greenwood.
