Julia Anne (Jennings) O'Farrell

Julia Anne (Jennings) O’Farrell, 92, of Indianapolis, passed away on Saturday, February 24, 2024. The daughter of the late William P. and Anna Erma (Oeftering) Jennings, Julia was born on Monday, July 6, 1931 in St. Francis Hospital, Beech Grove.

Julia was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School, class of 1949. A homemaker, she married Robert J. O’Farrell on Sunday September 6, 1953. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Her one pleasure was that she loved to cook.

She is survived by her children, Kathleen “Kathy” (Terry) Cook, Thomas B. O’Farrell, Brian (Libbey) O’Farrell, Mary O’Farrell, Pat O’Farrell (Jonna) and Brigid Taylor; 11 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert J. O’Farrell and son, Kevin O’Farrell; brother, George Jennings; and sister, Delia Jennings.

Family and friends will gather from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 2, 2024 in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 1530 S. Union St., where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. The recitation of the rosary will be at 9:40 a.m. Burial will be held on Monday, March 4, 2024 at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
