Karen Sue (Riley) Dale, 66, of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 28, 2025, at Franciscan Health in Indianapolis. Born in Beech Grove on July 5, 1959, she was the cherished daughter of the late Raymond and Patricia (Dillehay) Riley.

Karen attended Emmerich Manuel High School and later married the love of her life, Paul Robert Dale. Together, they shared 47 years of devotion, laughter, and unwavering companionship.

A woman of fierce determination and a heart full of compassion, Karen was known for her strong will and gentle spirit. She had a remarkable way of caring for others, always putting their needs before her own. Her warmth was felt in every gesture, every conversation, and every moment spent in her presence.

Karen found joy in life’s simple pleasures: playing games, solving crossword puzzles, bowling, and working on jigsaw puzzles. Her playful nature and thoughtful heart made her a beloved figure among family and friends. She will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her loving husband, Paul Dale; siblings Michael Riley, Peggy Rae Wheeler, David Riley, Edy (Marco) Garcia, and Beth Lunn; several nieces and nephews; and her treasured companion, her little dog Lollipup. Karen was preceded in death by her parents and siblings Arthur Kirkwood, Cheryl Riley, and Mark Riley.
