Kathryn Louise (Brandes) Buckley

Kathryn Louise Buckley, 94, of Beech Grove, passed away on Friday, November 1, 2024, at Envive Healthcare of Beech Grove.  She was born on July 23, 1930, to the late Roy and Mabel (Schmoe) Brandes. 

Kathryn married the love of her life, Robert Warren Buckley, who preceded her in death in 2002.  She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Barbara Ford; and brothers, Paul, Joe and Roy Brandes.  She will be remembered most as a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother, with a deep commitment to her Catholic faith. 

Survivors include her children, Steve (Vickie) Buckley, Dennis (Patty) Buckley, Sharon Buckley Armstrong and Jeff (Linda) Buckley; ten grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. 

A prayer service will be held on Friday, November 15, 2024, at 12 noon in Lauck & Veldhof Funeral & Cremation Services, 1458 S. Meridian St., Indianapolis, with Deacon Jim Kitchens of St. Jude Catholic Church.  Burial will follow the prayer service in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Greenwood. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions have been suggested to the Beech Grove Senior Citizens Center, 602 Main St., Beech Grove, IN 46107.
