Larry Edward Mathes

Larry Edward Mathes, 57, of Indianapolis, passed away on Friday, August 14, 2020.  He was born on August 8, 1963 in Indianapolis to the late Albert and Patty (Harris) Mathes. 

Larry loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping with family and friends.  He was a carpenter and could do almost anything with his hands.  Above all he loved his “Mommason” of 38 years, Joyce, and his family.  Larry and Joyce were also known as “Bonnie and Clyde” by family and friends.      

Survivors included his loving wife, Joyce Fay (Brumley) Mathes; children, Michael Burgess (Charity), Christina Brumley and Shadella Brumley; brother, John Mathes; sisters, Anige Furguson and Cleda Mathes; and eleven grandchildren. 

Family and friends will gather on Wednesday, August 26, from 1 to 4 p.m. in Lauck & Veldhof Funeral & Cremation Services, 1458 S. Meridian St., with a service following at 4 p.m. with Pastor Donnie Gay.
