Laurie Ann Jackson

Laurie Ann Jackson, 58, of Indianapolis, passed away on Monday, October 14, 2024.  She was born on May 11, 1966, in Indianapolis, to Michael Dugan and Joan (Schmoll) Dugan; she was preceded in death by her father.  Laurie married the love of her life, William “Rusty” Jackson, on December 16, 1989; he survives. 

Laurie graduated from Perry Meridian High School, class of 1984, and enjoyed being a stay-at-home mother, raising her daughter Alexis when she was young.  She was known as “LaLa” to her granddaughter, Brynlee, and her greatest joy was spending time with her family.  Laurie also loved to travel with her husband and fish. 

Survivors include her husband of 34 years, Rusty Jackson; daughter, Alexis (fiancé, Robert Williams) Jackson; mother, Joan Dugan; siblings, Joseph (Ramoan) Dugan, Jennifer VanBlarcum and Gregory (Amber) Dugan; and granddaughter, Brynlee Williams; in addition to several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will gather on Thursday, October 17, 2024, from 4 to 8 p.m. in Lauck & Veldhof Funeral & Cremation Services, 1458 S. Meridian St., Indianapolis.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, October 18 at 10 a.m. in St. Roch Catholic Church, 3600 S. Pennsylvania St., with Fr. Douglas Hunter presiding.  Inurnment will happen on a later date. 

Memorial contributions have been suggested to St. Roch Catholic Church, 3600 S. Pennsylvania St., Indianapolis, IN 46227.
