LeRoy Darling

LeRoy Darling, 80, of Beech Grove, passed away on Monday, April 13, 2026. He was born on June 29, 1945, in Augusta, Indiana, to the late Leo Glen Darling and Mary Elizabeth Kelley Darling.

LeRoy was a skilled and dedicated self‑employed carpenter for many years, known for his craftsmanship and strong work ethic. He proudly served in the United States Army from October 14, 1964, to October 17, 1969. He was also a longtime member of American Legion Post #341 in Cicero, Indiana, where he valued the camaraderie and connection with fellow veterans.

In addition to his parents, LeRoy was preceded in death by his wife, Linda P. Liska Darling, on March 6, 1987; his daughter, Linda Louise Campbell; brothers, Roger, Paul, Bob, Ed, and Bill; and sisters, Darlene, Juanita, Betty, Erma, Patty and Elaine.

He is survived by his son, Jeremiah G. (Aimee) Darling of New London, Wisconsin; his son‑in‑law, James E. Campbell, II of Westfield; grandchildren Jamie (Nick) King, Jessica (Tyler) Horn, Trista Finney, Charlie Sitton, Jonathan (Anna) Campbell, and Anthony (Cherysh) Kirkpatrick; and great‑grandchildren Ocie, Eden, Colby, Cullen, Cadence, Elora, and Ruby. He is also survived by brothers, Gary and Fred; and sisters, Donna and Susie; many nephews and nieces, including his caregiver, Julia Patterson.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at Eagle Creek Cemetery, 15550 Little Eagle Creek Avenue, Westfield, Indiana 46074. Military honors will be provided by American Legion Post #341.
