Leigh Ann Pierce Hermann passed away peacefully on May 10, 2022. Leigh was born on May 29, 1951 to Tom and Dolores (Boren) Pierce. She graduated from Fillmore High School in 1969 and from Ball State University in 1973. She married Richard James Hermann on May 18, 1974 in Indianapolis. Leigh never knew a stranger and would go out of her way to help people, especially in her positions with the Indiana State Welfare Department and more recently as a benefits specialist. Leigh made a career change when her girls were in school and became everyone’s favorite “Home Interiors” consultant. She volunteered often at both Sacred Heart and Saint Roch and loved the dear friars and her groups of friends from both parishes. She was very proud of her five grandchildren and the fine young people they are growing into; they loved her almost as fiercely as she loved them. Rick preceded her in death in 2008, and she is home with him where she longed to be. Leigh is survived by her daughters, Amy (Robby) Lawson, Jenny (Aaron) Logan, and Gina Hermann; grandchildren, Paul and Lauren Lawson, Christian, Luke, and James (JJ) Logan; sister Darcy Kelley and mother-in-law Marianne Hermann; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, May 16, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Friends may call on Sunday, May 15, 2022 from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. at Lauck & Veldhof Funeral Home where morning prayers will be said on Monday at 10:30 a.m. prior to Mass. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Sacred Heart Building Fund in lieu of flowers. Online condolences: www.LauckFuneralHome.com
