Louise T. Harts, 92, of Indianapolis passed away on Wednesday, September 5, 2018. She was born on November 12, 1925 to the late W. Kedzie Teller and Myrtle Beatrice Nelson-Teller in Hinsdale Illinois. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, John M. Harts; her twin sister, Lois Blondin; her brother and sister, Richard Teller and Virginia Meyer.
After she graduated with her master’s degree, she taught elementary school throughout her career. She was a lifelong Girl Scout and camp director. A devout Catholic, she was a long-time parishioner of St. Monica’s.
She is survived by three loving children, Ginny Morton (Paul) of Avon, Jon Harts (Cindy) of Crown Point, and Joyce Hurley (Thomas) of Indianapolis; seven grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and her brother, John Teller ( Karen) of Naples, FL. She is also survived by numerous extended family and close friends.
A mass will be celebrated for Louise on Thursday, September 13, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Monica’s Catholic Church (6131 Michigan Road, Indianapolis, IN 46228).
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Indianapolis Humane Society, and St. Monica’s Catholic Church.
