Luna Esperanza Passow

Luna Esperanza Passow passed away July 28th, 2022 at only 29 days old due to fatal injuries she sustained in an automobile accident.

Luna was born on June 28th, 2022 at Community North Hospital in Indianapolis to Jeffrey Passow and Maira Valadez. In her brief life, Luna stood out as a bright ray of light and love to all who encountered her. Her first name Luna, the Spanish word for "moon", was chosen to symbolize the Blessed Virgin Mary, and the way she reflects the light of God's love, like the moon reflects the light of the sun. Her middle name Esperanza, the Spanish word for "hope", was chosen because her life was a light of hope, healing, and growth for the world. Luna's life planted a seed of hope that blossomed in the heart of her parents.

Although her parents did not have much time on Earth with this little angel, and many things they were unable to experience with her, there were many things they did experience with her: they were able to kiss her and tell her they loved her, feed her, hear the sound of her cooing and crying, change and dress her, admire her beauty, and stare into her heavenly eyes.

Luna is survived by her parents, Jeffrey Passow and Maira Valadez, grandparents Kristine and Gary Dolliver, Jeffrey and Angela Passow, and Antonio and Veronica Valadez. She is also survived by her aunts and uncles, Octavio Valadez (Claribel), Renato Valadez (Ana), Savannah Passow (Russ), and Brittany Dolliver.

Visitation for Luna will take place on Friday August 12th from 4pm to 8pm with a rosary at 7:30 at the Lauck and Veldhof funeral home (1458 S Meridian St, Indianapolis, IN 46225). On August 13th, there will be a funeral mass at 1pm at Holy Rosary (520 Stevens St, Indianapolis, IN 46203) with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery. All are welcome to attend.
