Margaret Marie (Iaria) Meister

Margaret Marie (Iaria) Meister, 80, of Greenfield, passed away on Saturday, June 4, 2022, at home surrounded by her loving family.  She was born on September 17, 1941, in Beech Grove to the late Rocky and Eleanor (Pangallo) Iaria. 

Margaret was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School, class of 1960 and a long-time member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church where she volunteered (since its inception) with the Italian Street Festival.  Prior to her retirement she had worked for Greenfield Banking Company and Macy’s where she was a sales associate.  She was a devoted mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed by family and friends. 

Survivors include children, Anthony (Kim) Meister, Lisa Meister and Frank Meister; siblings, Pete (Debbie) Iaria, Mary Jordan, Eleanor (Ron) Oaks and Dominic (Theresa) Iaria; grandchildren, Matthew (Gabi) Meister, Anthony (Michelle) Meister, Lindsey Meister and Kayla Walker; and great-grandchildren, Santina, Dominic, Colton, Lucca and Lorenzo.  Margaret was preceded in death by the father of their children, Frank “Sonny” Meister; and sister, Antoinette Iaria. 

Family and friends will gather on Sunday, June 12 from 2 to 6 p.m. in Lauck & Veldhof Funeral & Cremation Services, 1458 S. Meridian St., Indianapolis.   A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, June 13 at 10:30 a.m. in Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 520 Stevens St., Indianapolis.  Prayers will be said at the funeral home prior to Mass at 10 a.m.  Entombment will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
