Mary Frances (Clayton) Day

Mary Frances Day, 63, died unexpectedly on Thursday, January 25, 2024.  She was born on October 30, 1960, in Crawfordsville, to the late Everett and Margaret Louise (Miller) Clayton. 

Mary was a graduate of South Montgomery High School, class of 1978 and retired from Transplants.  She had a big heart, was a very caring person and always willing to help.  Mary’s greatest joy was in spending time with her children and grandchildren.  She will be truly missed. 

Survivors include her children, Damian Clayton, Andrea Day and Dillon (Mariah) Day; sister, Robin Hines; grandchildren, Desiree Clayton, Anthony Graham, Darius Day, Jalena Day, Dajia Day, Dayton Day, Presley Irish and Raelynn Lynch.  She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Bill and Roy Clayton; and former husband, Nick Day. 

Family and friends will gather on Sunday, February 4 from 2 to 5 p.m. in Lauck & Veldhof Funeral & Cremation Services, 1458 S. Meridian St., Indianapolis.  A time to share memories will follow at 5 p.m.
