Mary Mahala (Crutcher) Maloney

Mary Mahala Maloney, age 97, passed away peacefully in her sleep on April 7th, 2022.  She was born on July 31, 1924 to William and Jessie Crutcher, in Madisonville, Kentucky. 

She married Robert G. Maloney on October 6th, 1951.  She retired after 30 years with the Indiana State Board of Health.  She loved traveling, meeting friends and reading any and all books she could get her hands on. After relocating to Florida in 2018 with her children, she resided at Grand Villa of Largo Assisted Living where she enjoyed every minute of fun and friendship.

She is predeceased by her parents; husband of 65 years, Bob Maloney; brothers, Emmett and Charles; sister, Dorothy; and oldest son, Mike Maloney. She is survived by brother, Bill Crutcher (Sue Addison); son, John (Kathleen) and Becky (Dirk) Patterson whom she loved as her own daughter. She also leaves many generations of extended family, step-grandchildren and close friends.

We would like to thank the Doctors and Nurses on B7 at Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater, Florida and Suncoast Hospice for the excellent care they provided her in her last weeks.

Rev. Fr. Timothy M. Wyciskalla will officiate funeral services 12:00 noon on April 12th, 2022 in Lauck & Veldhof Funeral & Cremation Services, 1458 S. Meridian St., where friends may call after services to 2:30 p.m. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
