Mary Ellen (Trowbridge) Seymour

Mary Ellen Seymour, 56, of Indianapolis passed away on Thursday, August 30, 2018 at St. Vincent Hospital after an extended illness. She was born on July 17, 1962 in Indianapolis to Harry and Evelyn Trowbridge.

Mary had a God given gift for caring for others, so it stood to reason that she chose a career in nursing. When not caring for others at her job; Mary was an avid reader of both fiction and nonfiction, she enjoyed listening to rock and roll music (Led Zeppelin and Lynyrd Skynyrd were among her favorites), and most of all spending time with her family.

She is survived by her two children, Dustin Seymour (Rachel) of Gwynneville and Jacqueline Seymour of Indianapolis; her father, Harry Trowbridge of Lapel; her two grandchildren, Dion Brown and Daniel Seymour; and her two brothers, Joe and Daniel Trowbridge; her sister, Michelle Reichart. She is also survived by numerous extended family and close friends.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 8, 2018 in Lauck & Veldhof Funeral & Cremation Services (1458 S. Meridian Street). A visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial: Concordia Cemetery.
