Mary "Elaine" (Eacret) Roll

Mary Elaine (Eacret) Roll, 81, passed away on Thursday, January 19, 2023, at Greenwood Meadows. She was born on March 12, 1941, in Indianapolis to the late Charles W. and Thelma . (Green) Eacret. 

Elaine was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School, class of 1959. She attended IUPUI and worked for auto dealerships for most of her career. She started as a title clerk and advanced to an accounting clerk before becoming office manager prior to her retirement. She loved to play cards and belonged to both a Bunco club and Pokino club. She was an avid bowler and loved spending time with her siblings and her large family. Elaine was an active member of St. Barnabas Catholic Church and participated in the rosary nightly online and Adoration Chapel weekly. 

Survivors include her children, Tracy Yingling (Alan), John Roll (Debbie), Charlene Spears (Brad), Thad Roll (Leanna) and Michael Roll (Renee); siblings, Joann Thompson (Brian), Kathy Eacret and Ken Eacret; twenty-two grandchildren, over sixty great-grandchildren and many great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Phyllis Adam Phelan, her brother Chuck Eacret and Great Grandson Colt Roll. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, January 28, 2023, at 10 a.m. in St. Barnabas Catholic Church, 8300 Rahke Rd. with Fr. Jim Farrell presiding. Visitation will be prior to mass from 9 to 9:45 a.m. with a recitation of the rosary prior to the start of mass at 9:45 a.m.  Interment will be private in Holy Cross/St. Joseph Cemetery.
