Michael Lee Baker, 83, passed away December 21, 2024.
He was born August 16, 1941, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to Keith and Garnet Baker.
He was a loving husband to his wife Rita for 39 years, and a true friend that would give you his shirt off his back. He held a position at Dabney Equipment Company from 1971-1997. He then worked at Macdonald Machinery from 1997 and retired from there in 2008. He had a passion for fishing and riding his Harley. He supported several charitable organizations. As a founding member of the Eagle Riders, he served as road captain and was also a Legion Rider. He was an avid James Dean fan and enjoyed going to the James Dean festival every year. We will miss him dearly!
He is survived by his loving wife, Rita Baker, Sister in-law Nola Bishop and brother in-law Preston Bishop
He was preceded in death by; his son Christopher Allen Baker, infant son Tracy Baker, Mother and father, Garnet and Keith Baker and his brothers Don, Jacky and Jim Baker.
A celebration of life will be held January 18, 2025 at 1pm at American Legion Post 495, 8725 East 38th Street, Indianapolis, Indiana. All are welcome to bring your favorite dish if you wish :-)
