Monna Belle (Merida) Caldwell

Monna Belle Caldwell, 87, of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 25, 2024.  She was born on October 5, 1936, in Bloomington, Indiana, to the late Alvin Noah and Pearl S. (Sipes) Merida.  She married the love of her life, Donald Lee Caldwell, who passed away in 1997. 

Monna was a graduate of Emmerich Manual High School, class of 1954.  She worked for Walmart for many years prior to her retirement.  Monna will be remembered most as a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother, who always put her family first.

Survivors include her children, Misti (Jeffrey) McCloud and Eddie (Tabitha) Caldwell; brothers, Joe and Jerry Merida; grandchildren, Tara Hamilton, Ashlee (Jake) McKay, Cheyenne Caldwell and Courtney (Ashlin) Caldwell; great-grandchildren, Ryleigh Hamilton, Blake Hamilton, Aiden McKay, Caleb McKay and Jiraiya Caldwell. 

Services will be private in keeping with her wishes.
