Nancy Quinlan Hamilton, 87, of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 17, 2025. She was born on August 2, 1937, in Louisville, Kentucky, to the late Roy Joseph and Elizabeth Earle (Arnold) Quinlan. She married the love of her life, Thad Dwight Hamiliton, Sr., on October 26, 1957, in the chapel of St. James Catholic Church in Louisville; he preceded her in death on August 21, 2014.
Nancy was a graduate of Sacred Heart Academy in Louisville, Kentucky, class of 1955. She earned an associate degree in Secretarial Science from the University of Louisville and was a member of the Pi Beta Phi Sorority. Nancy and her husband, Thad, started a Westaff franchise which they ran successfully for many years; two of her children continue to run it today. She will be most remembered for her dedication to her faith, family and her beloved Scotties.
Survivors include her children, Laura Lane (Mark) Brothers, Mark Joshua (Angie) Hamilton, Matthew Jason (Paula) Hamilton and Rachel Lucille (Scott) Eickman; daughter-in-law, Micaela Hamilton; sister, Elizabeth Quinlan Grady; grandchildren, Ethan Brothers, Allison (Anthony) Bueckers, Sidney (Zach) Yonkers, Sarah Hamilton, Drew (Casey) Hamilton, Austin Hamilton, Jordan Hamilton, Josh Hamilton, Jr., Jude Hamilton, Casey Hamilton, Emilee (Jordan) Potts and Jonathon Eichman; great-grandchildren, Blakely Lane Bueckers, Shae and Grant Yonker, Taylor, Lincoln and A.J. Hamilton, and Knox, Rosalee and Eleanor Eickman. In addition to her parents and husband, Nancy was preceded in death by a son, Thad Dwight Hamilton, Jr., and daughter, Nancy Hamilton.
Family and friends will gather on Friday, January 24 from 4 to 8 in Lauck & Veldhof Funeral Home, 1458 S. Meridian St., Indianapolis. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, January 25 at 10 a.m. in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 1530 Union St. Burial: Round Hill Cemetery.
