Pamela Ann (Hiatt) Hafner, 76, of Indianapolis, passed away on Saturday, September 11, 2021. She was born on November 22, 1944 in Indianapolis to the late Lyle Robert and Geneva Ann (Lime) Hiatt. She married the love of her life on May 9, 1964, James Lawrence Hafner, in St. Philip Neri Catholic Church; he passed away September 14, 2021.
Pamela was a graduate of Scecina Memorial High School in 1962. After graduation she continued through the years to get together with her ‘club’ sisters, who were fellow graduates, once a month. She worked at the St. Lawrence Catholic School, Kinney Dancewear and finally Blakley’s Flooring prior to retirement. She was a member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, St. Lawrence Catholic Church and later St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, and a volunteer for over 20 years for the St. Vincent de Paul Society where she made home deliveries and worked at the food bank.
Survivors include her children, Joseph Lawrence (Daniel Paradis) Hafner, Maria Christine (Brad) Montgomery and Tanya Jean (Steve) Rowland; grandchildren, Amanda (David) Glidewell, Katie (Mark) Creviston, Emily (Kevin) Reece and Erin (Wyatt) Stevens; great-grandchildren, Abigail, Julia, Lydia, Oaklynn, Oliver and Asher. She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Colleen Margaret Hafner; and siblings, Shirley Jean, John A. and Robert Hiatt.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, October 8, 2021 at 11:30 a.m. in SS. Francis and Clare Catholic Church, 5901 Olive Branch Rd., Greenwood with visitation from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass. Inurnment: Oaklawn Memorial Gardens, Indianapolis.
