Patricia Joanne (McLean) Baker

Patricia Joanne Baker, 79, of Indianapolis, passed away on Saturday, June 29, 2024.  She was born on April 7, 1945, in Indianapolis, to the late Clifford and Leona (Collins) McLean. 

Patricia attended Arsenal Tech High School and went on to work for Diamond Chain for 38 years prior to retirement.  While at Diamond Chain, she served as the financial secretary of the United Steelworkers of America Local 1999.  Patricia liked to read and take care of her plants, she enjoyed bowling, and playing games on her tablet.  Patricia was employed at Beech Grove Bowl for over 40 years and loved spoiling her grandkids with whatever they wanted when she was working.  She will be remembered as a kind and friendly person who was very independent. 

Survivors include her children, Kathy (Henry) Williams, Larry Ellis and Tracy Wiley; grandchildren, David (Gail) Peel, Trysha Spencer, Kelsi (Shelby) Houk, Matthew Ellis, Brandon Wiley and Isabelle Wiley; great-grandchildren, Madelyn Peel, Kaidence Peel, Erath Houk, Myra Spencer and Apollo Ellis.  She was preceded in death by her daughter, Belynda Houk; and grandson, Eric Peel

Expressions of Sympathy should be sent to 10549 Dunes Court, Indianapolis, IN 46239. A visitation will be held on Friday, July 5 from 5 to 7 p.m. in Southport Heights Christian Church, 7154 McFarland Rd., Southport, IN 46227.  A memorial service will follow at 7 p.m. with Hollis Smith officiating.  Please note that deliveries cannot be received at the church.
