Patricia Carol (Turner) Dwyer, age 76, of Indianapolis, formerly of Bloomington, passed away at home on Sunday, November 1, 2020 with her family by her side. The daughter of Carroll B. and Patricia E. (Buck) Turner, Patricia was born on Tuesday, September 19, 1944 in St. Petersburg, Florida.
Patricia married William E. Dwyer on Saturday, August 31, 1963 in Delphi, Indiana. Patricia and William enjoyed traveling, especially to Hawaii and taking Caribbean cruises. She also enjoyed painting. She graduated from Marion University (Indiana Wesleyan University) with a master’s degree in economics. She retired as a professor from ITT with over 20 years of service then retired again from GTE with almost 30 years of service.
Patricia is survived by her husband, William E. Dwyer of Indianapolis; daughters, Christine M. (Michael) Harmon of Woodinville, WA and Cheryl A. (Christopher) Robb of Indianapolis; brother, Carroll (Gail) Turner of St. Petersburg, FL; sisters, Rosie (Gene) Benefiel of Fredonia, KS, Loys Rutledge of Newport, AR and Fay (Chuck) Wolf of Camden, IN; and granddaughters, Rachael Harmon, Madeline Robb and Grace Robb. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brother-in-law, Steven Rutledge.
Family and friends may call from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, November 6, 2020 at Lauck & Veldhof Funeral & Cremation Services, 1458 South Meridian Street. Funeral services will be conducted 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 7, 2020, also at the funeral home. Cremation to follow services.
