Paul Douglas Philhower. 73, passed away on October 2, 2024.
He was born on August 22, 1951, to Charles and Miriam Philhower in Richmond, Indiana. He attended Richmond High School and Indiana University and spent a lifetime working in customer service and management in a variety of food service, restaurant venues, and sporting arenas.
Paul grew up around a love of sports, particularly baseball and football. An avid Cincinnati Reds and Indianapolis Colts fan, he was often attending games and events with family and friends, following stats in fantasy leagues and enjoying talking about the latest drafts or championships. He was also a huge music fan, and his lifelong favorite group was the Beatles. He known as “the 5th Beatle" and spread the love of the Fab Four to all his friends and family. His friendly nature and “people-person" attitude meant he knew no strangers and could walk into a room knowing no one and leave with four new fast friends. To know Paul was to know a friend and kind heart. He was “one cool dude. “
He is survived by his lifelong love, Becki Philhower, his daughter and mini-me Megan Philhower, his grandchild Aster Dixon, and his little sister Robin Kullerstrand, and many cousins and other family.
He was preceded in death by his son, Timothy Philhower and his parents, Charles and Miriam “PeeWee" Philhower.
Funeral service will take place Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at 2pm at Lauck & Veldhof Funeral & Cremation Services, 1458 South Meridian Street, Indianapolis, Indiana, 46225, with burial to follow in Concordia Cemetery. Visitation will be held from Noon until time of service. Casual attire is kindly requested.
