Paul David “Pete” Hollenbaugh, 84, of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 25, 2024. He was born on September 15, 1939, in Indianapolis, to the late James Harold and Mary Maude (LeMasters) Hollenbaugh.
Pete attended Emmerich Manual High School and was a long-time member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He started working at the age of eight and was known as a hard worker. One of his first jobs was as a route salesperson delivering milk and, through time, he had many other entrepreneurial pursuits. Pete was always cheerful, enjoyed Karaoke and was always singing. He was friendly, had a great sense of humor and could make people laugh. He will be truly missed by his loving family and many friends.
Survivors include his wife, Cindy Lou (Kelley) Hollenbaugh; daughters, Jill (Richard) Schroering and Patricia (Jeremy) Matis; son, Joseph Hollenbaugh; sisters, Jane Kuroiwa Cazier and Judy Gaunt; stepchildren, Rich (Mandee) Beasley, Jeff (Amy) Beasley, Trisha Beasley and Kerri (Cletis) Gipson; 15 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Glen, James “Bud”, Neil, Laura Petersen, Lena Liggett-Roskelley and Rose Melton.
Family and friends will gather on Wednesday, January 31 from 4 to 8 p.m. in Lauck & Veldhof Funeral & Cremation Services, 1458 S. Meridian St., Indianapolis. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 1 at 12 noon in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 900 E. Stop 11, Indianapolis, with additional visitation at the church starting at 11 a.m. until the time of services. Burial: New Crown Cemetery, Indianapolis.
