Ralph Edward Cobb

Ralph Edward Cobb, 81, of Indianapolis, passed away on Sunday, November 28, 2021.  He was born on March 14, 1940 in Lexington, Kentucky to the late Henry and Opal (Smith) Cobb.  Ralph married the love of his life, Shirley Jean (Morris) Cobb, on June 1, 1985.

Ralph served in the US Army Medical Corps in Grafenwohr, Germany.  “Pop” was dedicated to youth sports and served as an umpire for Umpires for Youth for many years.  He served as the Board President for the Section 4 District 12 Franklin Township Little League State Championship winning team age 11-12 in 1977.  Ralph retired from the Indiana State Fairgrounds as an Event Coordinator.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley Jean; children, Keith, Tim, David, Lisa and Laura; brother, Mike; and 17 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, December 6, 2021 at 1 p.m. in Round Hill Cemetery, 5235 S. Meridan St. with Chaplain Rob Mifflin officiating.  Full military honors will be observed.
