Raymond A. Shalkowski, 93, passed away January 14, 2022, at his Carmel, Indiana residence. Born July 5, 1928 in Nanticoke, Pennsylvania, Raymond was the son of the late Stanley and Helen Ushinski Shalkowski.
From 1946 to 1948, he served in the U.S. Army. While serving in the U.S. Army, he took additional classes which assisted him in his career. For 58 years, he worked as an x-ray technician and in sales and service of x-ray equipment. He was a member of the Optimist Club and Ruth and he attended St. Louis de Montfort Catholic Church in Fishers.
Raymond is survived by wife, Ruth A. Catt Shalkowski of Carmel; children, Brian J. (wife: Kathy) Shalkowski of Martinsville, Robin M. (husband: Kenneth D.) Firman of Indianapolis and Anne M. Wuensch of Indianapolis; seven grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; several great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Raymond was preceded in death by a son, Kurt Shalkowski; and sisters, Eleanor Rhoades, Gertrude Rudolph and Philomena Witos.

Private services held at Lauck & Veldhof Funeral & Cremation Services. Entombment followed at Calvary Cemetery, Indianapolis.
